While doing deep space research my ship was hit by some sort of energy wave which put me into a Temporal Flux. After numerous attempts I was able to break free by setting a sling shot course around a binary pulsar and while entering warp speed do a total reboot of all ship systems at peek power. This caused the internal energy matrix to implode which broke the time warp and enabled me to get back.
According to the ship chronometer, only 6 months has passed but with all the changes I see in DS it sure seems like years. I feel sorta like 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century'. Anyway, I'm sure it'll take a little while for me to get back 'up to speed' so to speak and after I file my report on this whole incident with HQ, I plan on doing just that. Get back up to speed.
I must say that it'll be a long time before I volunteer to go off on another deep space research mission.

Thanks a lot bro. You were the very first one I met here in DS and I guess it's only fitting that you should be the first one to welcome me back.
Lucky for me you didn't have the 'Welcome Wagon' camped out at the gate waiting for me, (Hint hint).
