As anyone who has been stuck in 2ndRA for... a while, unable to get their hands on a decent crusie. They should be interrested to know that the Missile crusie can be modded relatively cheaply as an ALL TORP GODSHIP OF DESTRUCTION!!!

The Missile crusie holds a phinominal 12 launchers for your torpping pleasure. Though on first glance, only 2 are forward facing, but that's 8 torps per starboard/port side strike (reminecent of sailing ships of the 16th century)
That's highest concentration possible for anyship besides a station (...i think)

MC's boasts equal or better armor to the rest ships of it's class, and holds additonal 4 Special I slots orignally intended for scanner for the Proton Cruise Missile, and eccm, and AuxGen, these can be moded for other fun. i.e. 1 AuxGen3ECM (u) for a stealth killer or 2AuxGen2AuxShield(i) for better survivablilty

I suggest mixing the trop types if you can, Ftorps seems best in my experimentation, longer range and faster reload, but if you want additional punch, i recomend swaping for a pair of AM torp for the AFT, for uses against pursuers. ( nothing more discouraging like a coupla AM torp to the face for the picket or ED hugging your ass.) in this positon the slow speed of the AM torps can be compensated by the pursuer's own speed

but i dont know, anyone has any advice on torp selection would be most welcome

I hear IT missiles are really great for long distance attacks.

AR missiles work for close encounters too.

Keep those torps flying.
Because you only got 1287 Prestige to go.

I like psi missles.

They're shiny.

bad idea on the all torps thing. once people know you have it you have little chance to harm anyone cause they'll stay away from ya so it's or all psi's is best

a psuedo torp cruiser is really easily removed from a battlefield by anyone experienced enough to get behind u and stay there....so i wouldnt suggest using it in combat...but since its all u got, torps will work against most ships. Try am torps

well obviously its most effective on dreads so if your in a huge fight then you will probably do some serious damage to the dread and maybe some cruisers but like everyone said if the pilot of a picket of ED has experience then they will probably just snipe you out and it wont work well.

i would use the full torps on dreads and maybe cruisers but thats it

any torps are good for me
