You need to either become a member of the DarkSpace Events Team, the DarkSpace Moderation Team, or the DarkSpace Development team to gain access to Pirate or MI ships in the current release version.

no no you can fly them, all you need to do is land on a planet with a port and shipyard... to land just fly towards the shipyard until your ship touches the surface.
