Where did YOU hear about Darkspace? |

We've been getting new players every day lately, and now I'm curious where everyone first heard about Darkspace and what got them to come try it out. I think it would be good to know what 'advertising' method is working best 
I'll start. I first heard about Darkspace about 6 years ago while playing a fun little game called Cosmic Rift. Someone in chat mentioned this new space game being beta tested that was so much better than Cosmic Rift, and he gave us the website.
I checked it out and was immediately impressed. It wasn't anything like Cosmic Rift! I created my account, beta tested, and 6 years later minus a few absences here I am.

I heard about it 5 years ago.. Was by pure chance that I found it(wasn't even looking for games). Some search engine popped it up, i clicked it and then i got addicted to the sweet nectar that is called Darkspace.

me and peanut were searching for free games on some site and i saw darkspace and thought it was free, then by the time my free trial was up i was hooked

I saw it as a featured download on Fileplanet and thought it was a mod for Freespace.

I was looking for a game and stumbled across DS by accident. I forgot what the other game was...because I have been playing DS ever since.
It's like destiny to play DS...or something...............

Was part of the BlueByte community (brother got me a Setlers game for my birthday), and saw some news about it. Didn't bother downloading it until I saw an add on Fileplanet when I subscribed to it.

about 5 years ago i neede a update that was hosted on Fileplanet.
I saw a add of darkspace. and to say i was adicted.
so adicted that i alwais come back afther a time.

I have always played War Games, Strategy Games, and RPGs. A friend of mine sent me a link to DS Thinking I'd like it. I hate space games so the link lay in my Email inbox until one day I was without a new game to play, and had time to kill.
1st day here lasted 72 hours, addiction set in around hour 12.
PS: I still Hate Space Games....I'm merely addicted to this one.

I was looking for a new game to play, so as usual, I went to MMORPG.com and decided to take a chance. I selected a random letter then looked down the list to the most appealing name to me. It was a nice lucky find.

Got hooked 5 years back looking for free trials.
Funest game ever played, wasn't what i was looking for but fell for the game. I think u should advertise on PC magazine's they do alot of advertising for older PC games.

Me well i first started with the old N64 loved the shooting games and racing one on it then went to the amegia played setlers Dune 2 heh battle chess then i went to PCs laptops and Xboxs but as the time went by i got bored of all my games and heres the list lol :
