Right The Grinch is not happy right now.

uppon checking the MV status Tortuga has been captured AGAIN..
i will not point to a single individual however i will stress this.

Tortuga and Legion base are off limits, Legion base has been made a death trap just to point this out, its not a perfect solution but it works.

now Tortuga is captured again... is there some reason why players do not intend to listen?

once more i will state here that if anyone captures an AI homeplanet he or she will be dealt with when found out.
this is no joke this is reality, i might even suggest that an entire fleet will be held responsible for the capture of an AI planet.. it is harsh but players do not seem to get the point.

so once again please do not capture an AI home planet, this is a staff directive and i hope players will abide to this.

Considering that we could also pull mir and pirates out of the game entirely, and stick them in the basement with nimby where nobody would ever see them again, it would be in the collective best interest to cease interfering with these two planets.

I'm thinking on a possible "solution" to avoid to find the planets. Maybe an implementation that would move planets randomly on the "off limits", that would change the planet position every day or every "x" hours.
Maybe another option would be to apply a code like when you are trying to jump out to "limits" that spawns your ship to Jumpgate choosing ship.

actually we moved these planets around in the past, it was not the best solution since it tends to throw the MV off ballance..

trust me stay away from it is the best thing just listen to the staff and we are all happy

I'm going to toss some ueber Doom Slingers on Tortuga shortly, so the problem should solve itself, in that if you get near and attempt to take the planet, you will likely not last long.

Tortuga has Rusty Cannons, but they're basically doom slingers.

And Airwolf, they sling doom. Or rust, as the case may be.

"Rusty" is quite appropriate. They cause you to lock up if you get too close.

As most people that have spent any amount of minutes in the lobby would know that over the last few weeks there has been a number of people talking about atacking those 2 planets.

I think what has happened was at one time I think i remember someone saying something about attacking tortuga just to see if they could and since no-one said anything about it they have taken it to the next step. I am not sure but i think one of the mods was actually in the lobby when this person/ these people were talking about it.

It is a shame a script can't be atached to the planet so that if a person attacks it they loose like 100 pres for each building and 20 for each inf. My guess is that would stop people very quickly, especially when pone of those planets had like 90 buildings on it.

anyway i guess we can only hope that people will read this thread and will take notice of it.

why not simply leave the planets alone. thats the easiest (or damn well should be) solution, and the cheapest, and quickest to enact.

people need to take remedial "No." classes...
