Ok. this has happened to me 3 times this week and has never happened before. I will /who or /find someone and as soon as i press enter, the game locks up. I cannot alt tab out, i cannot ctrl alt delete my way out, i cannot alt F4 my way out. all i can do is cut the power to my computer. Has this happened to anyone else before? Whats up with this?

Happens to us Mods sometimes (though not what you were doing but a similar command) Try hitting the windows key to go back to Desktop, and then ctrl/alt/delete.
Most likely you tried to /who someone with many variants of that name
/who Admiral Leonide for example would likely give you a list of every player that ever had the word Admiral in their name.......A long list BTW.
In game that would sometimes lock you up

This happens randomly sometimes. Can often happen when you type the name too quickly and hit enter. If it happens, just ctrl-alt-delete (make sure this opens on the process tab before hand), press "C" then hold down alt and press "E" and then finally, alt and "Y". All this does is select "Client.exe", start the "End process", and select "Yes". Chances are the application has frozen, and won't move from fullscreen, so you cant see the task manager.

i got the same issue, very annoying
ill try to pay more attention next time and see when it does that, might be with the /who indeed
and for the searching, admiral leonide would become admiral_leonide, otherwise it wont catch the leonide at all

and i have had that happen to me when i hit /ro jo @1 also. very annoying.
