The recent changes to K'luth supply and engineering ships which disallow the ship to actually be cloaked while in repairing or building were meant to create equivalency, I assume. Why should UGTO and ICC be the only ones to have supply ships and engineers out in the open when K'luth can safely cloak away when doing the same activities, right?

A fully modded K'luth dread (which everyone claims has the highest short-term attack power of all factions) is unable to take out a human supply ship with one alpha. This is due to the armor and shields given to human supply ships.

A fully modded human dread is able to annihilate a K'luth supply ship in one alpha. And since K'luth supplies must now be uncloaked while supplying, this gives the K'luth supply NO chance to make any attempt at an escape.

In the case of a cruiser class ship attacking a K'luth supply, all he needs to do is beacon the supply, and the K'luth will be dead on the second or third alpha. Nothing you can do to a human supply ship will allow a K'luth class cruiser to eliminate it in 3 alphas (save incompetence or stupidity).

Ditto situation for engineering.

Here's my question. In our zeal to make each faction equivalent, have we forgotten that for K'luth players, their cloaking device is actually part of their defense? If a K'luth supply ship cannot be defended properly while doing its duty (i.e. supplying), then why bother even having the ship? Clearly, if 3 dreads jump an ICC supply ship, that ship will not make it. But that's because the dreads were smart and the supply ship was unlucky.

But when a K'luth supply is given neither the CHANCE nor the TIME to respond to a single dread or cruiser attack, I find that equivalence is lacking. In fact, it somewhat nullifies the purpose of the ship. (And undermines the existence of the faction)

Jack - Before you respond with your usual expediency, please attempt to see the problem as follows:

Imagine a UGTO heavy supply ship were expected to do his duty without armor. Wouldn't you be wondering about game balance too?

ahm.. unlike the Human factions, you kluth have a good chance to simply run away to distand location, and supp there.

Another Tip: Keep moving.... Its so much easier to evade some fire if you DONT need to speed up first.and always place your supp in the front arc of your kluth friend, so anyone that jumps you gets his asss handed.

Kluth supplies have the same chance as a human supply now.
