I only say that's impossible to play decently with this lag, when you enter aproximately at 3k gu from a big battle (the sweet cream of the game) you feel the light power of lag althought you can try to go out, but if you unfortunately are in the middle ... the response is you are dead. I left DS for year ago for the same reason, and now I see that the same situation ... today I lost around 1k prestige for this reason. Please apply your experiencies, I think Im not the only person who lives this situation.

Then REMOVE OR BLOCK the use or make something Faustus. It's thirsty because I love this game

He's already fixing us up a patch to fix the lag from the data he recieved from the profiler client. He also baught a new quad xeon server, which isnt coded over to FreeBSD yet...

All the people playing is feeding the profiler much needed information. Sure it can be frustrating at times but in this case it's actually helping to solve teh problem

Yay I listen the same things (new code, new hardware ...) one year ago ... well I desire you can get to solve the problem. Because people dont want to play on a game that's impossible to get real multiplayer battles (50 or more people at the same time and site).

The problem is, when we say, ok people we need to test beta, rarely more than 15 to 20 show up. So everything looks fine. Then in release you get 100 people and a problem shows up.
Hmm, kind of hard to prepare if we cant get the numbers in beta... Hence the free trials to let people know we are moving along and to ensure we get more bodies in the servers so we can isolate things that we couldnt check in beta because of low numbers...

more to do with missile dreads and bomber dreads i'd imagine now, since they spawn more objects than any ship in the game.

I've had massive lag issues in the MV with so many on. The admiral server seems to have little to no lag even with the same amount of people on.

as i posted in support, if you have your connection rate set to automatic detect, its locking low.
If you have broadband, set it at t1/cable and it will lock your traffic at 32768
Or in game you can type
/bps 32768
in the chat window to change your transmission pipe.
That has allieviated a lot of peoples issues.
