Over the span of 5 minutes, I went from mildly excited and somewhat jubilant to how I feel now, making this post...
As I write this, my right food is bleeding from underneath two band aids, and my mouse is only sporadically working, so I'm gonna try and take this slow.
let me begin *Ahem*
Well I was busy zipping along getting roasted by a trio of broods, preparing to E jump... I hit the keys feeling somewhat anxious when out of the left of my screen came a bright glow... this was the corona of a star in front of my 7.5 million isk Combat dreadnought... So I mashed the J button to stop myself... and it didn't turn off, didn't stop. I continued for another three absoloutly horrifying seconds:Right into the star. Oops.
Well this put a dent in my good mood, so actually... wait,
!!!OK kids, remember, anger is not a good thing.!!!
Ok anyway I got out my Assault dread that I'd spent maybe a meager 500K and some change on. To buy it new cupholders, and 22 inch HD plasma TV. And Wormholed it right into that same group of 4 or 5 Broods... and got slaughtered in seconds...
Despite now having no credits, and no ships to speak of... I felt a little bit better.
And then my keyboad tray detatched frum under my desk, and jammed a sharp piece of it's mechanism into the top of my foot (the reason I'm bleeding all over the floor now) and partially crushed my keyboard...
And just for a laugh, now my SPACEBAR key, of all keys does not work.
How am I making spaces then? Alt and number pad.
I'll submit pictures of my foot for some extra laughs...
Ok I'm going to go cry now! Bye All!

omg... ROFL! Wow dude...
And I can confirm about the no-J key on exiting EJump. I tested it myself after he told me what happened (facing away from the local giant ball of burning plasma, of course). Somehow I think it might be tied into the fact that we can't manually target a point to jump...

well, mabey it's jsut me, but, i'm sure that has happend to alot of people,
could jsut be something about the game, lets say, "when at a distance of a certain object, exiting jumpgates has a delay, sorta like lag, but, game made, just so you can make those hard to do 1m disttance manouvers that so many people try to do.
but yea, could just be me. hehe.
sorry to hear about your foot. i got lucky and saw the hazard of those keyboard holders, got myself a flatscreen and put my keyboard on my desk

actually at an earlier point I tried to track a K'luth dread with E jump, since point jumping is broken, but could not drop out of jump on his location. I tried several consecutive times but could not cancel my jump... It's a bug, It is broken.
And believe me I was mashing the j key for a full 3 seconds before I hit that star.
Even in deep space with no lag.

Becuase My Momhas my digital camera, I've decided to make this dramatic artist's rendition of the events that occured today.
This Image is of the exact moment of contact between the sharp metal thing on the corner of the heavy wooden keyboard tray, and the soft virgin flesh of my Right foot.
The picture is of my left foot, but that's only cause it was easier to draw on MS paint.

I can relate to TF now...
Here we are in a battle around Junction and Ahaza in Cyg, im in my BD, a good 8-9mil worth, and im targettin FatalAnts in his MD. It appears to me im going straight towards him, away from Junction...
However, lag jumps suddenly, and my ship is suddenly pointed a Junction, curving in an arc towards it. I think no biggy, ill just turn.
I sat here for 5, breathless seconds as my BD soared straight into the surface of Junction...
So angry at this injustic my right hand is bleeding (right now bandaged) and is doing so because my hand soared as well -- right into my computer screen.
I have never lost my temper to that point before over a game, but this is hard work that infuriates me beyond all things.
I actually took a screenie of the second before my BD slammed into the planet....im not to arsed right now however to find it.
Fix the lag; this one incident has entirely turned me off to this game...

id LIKE to say its because of lag
but unfortunately its because i keep crashing bomber dreads into planets... well actually, 2 occasions were because of lag, the other 10 were because i cant turn fast enough =( 3 years ive been playing this game, and im never EVER going to make FA =

i agree that the lag, if it's possible, has gotten worse, i was flying along happily in a escort scout that i had to strip a carrier dread to mod it with lvl 8 armor and 4 more beams, then, while annoying the piss outta a missle dread while beign chased by a AC, i got hit by lag and ended up getting gutted like a fat fish, please for the love of spork FIX THE FREAKIN LAG, have a nice day...

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the physical injuries.
I can relate to the ship losses (though not quite on the same scale).
