To build a planet a player needs to be 500gu or under from the planet. so why is srcapping not made the same way. When capping planets it can take lots of ship as from enmy DF lag ram and trun lag a trany may only be 10 pres if that but it adds up. Then when the planet gets cap one finds most of it srcap making it hardder to defend and ceep. I have no problem with planyers doing srcapping of planets. I just like to see it don from 500 gu or under from planet so if a player wonts to srap thay may face the enmy when doing it and not from safe spot like 7 systems away.

This is one of the few things that most of us can agree on. The only difference I would suggest is that the person scrapping actually should be within building range of the planet in order to scrap.

I concur, or else I think there should be a time limit on how quickly one can scrap a building, like 30-60 seconds between scraps. I think that to build OR scrap a planet should have the same requirements, it just makes sense to me...

Its a legit strategy that is frowned upon. Much like the 8 flux siphon we have now.
All we can do is eat our fists and acknoledge that, that person has no skill and proves it by denying the other faction their hard earned planet.
BUT
If it was against kluth, they didnt work hard for their planet did they....
Anyway, its a valid tactic, nothing against it in the RoC, so little we can do.
